Title: Vendo V-165 Won't Vend
Post by: tflash on April 28, 2007, 04:39:48 pm
I have a vendo v-165 that won't vend.  I have bypassed the coin mechanism and can hear the relay click.  However, when I push the selection buttons, nothing happens!!  How can I apply power directly to the vending motor to see if that is working properly?

Upon further review, I guess it's not a motor but selenoids I need to test.  I'm soo frustrated with this machine.  Any, and I mean anny help would be much appreciated.

Hey Tony,

I'm not an expert on later model machines such as yours but I'll check to see if I have a manual for this model... Then we can trouble shoot a little.
There are a few here that are well versed in the vending cycle of late model machines and may advise...

Thanks.  Any help or advice would be welcome.  Something is definetly screwy.  There is a sticker inside that says there needs to be at least one can in all the columns for it to accept coins.  If one of the columns is empty, the product lights go out.  If there is 1 can in each column the product lights are on.  If I put 3 cans in each column the product lights go out again.??????? I did notice that there are no "sold out" lamps.

By the way, if I manually vend a can, the relay clicks off like its supposed to.  The selenoids won't do anything.  I have a hard time believing that the selenoids in all the columns are bad.  I guess anythings possible though.
