Title: Westinghouse Select-o-matic Can Spacers on a Budget
Post by: tkaz on May 07, 2012, 05:28:10 pm
Nothing ground breaking here, just wanted to document a cheap method of building some can spacers for a Westinghouse Select-0-Matic machine.  This method will work for the 60, 78 or 102; the length of the PVC will just be different.

I took some 2 1/2" PVC pipe, and cut it down to size (30" for my WC-78), took a small angle bracket and bent it down about an inch from where it will attach to the pipe.  Bolted it onto the top of the pipe, move the bottle spacer to the second position, insert the pipe into the slot, and hang it from the top of the spacer.  The pipe nests into the bottle spacers and lets the cans easily slide down.

Not exactly rocket science, but it works great and cost under $10.
