That CS-72 I bought is now working fine.  I removed the shelves and some the shielding around the solenoid assembly.  I checked for voltage and it just needed some cleaner to free-up the mechanism.  Works fine now.  Given the condition of the machine, I think I'm just going to replace the gaskets, breaker strips (I now know what these are ... ), door springs, and a few other minor items and given the insides a good cleaning.  I'll likely touch-up the paint in a few spots but otherwise simply enjoy the machine for a while.  The refrigeration unit is quiet and cools quickly.  I found a vintage 'tru-temp' inside the machine.  That was kinda cool.  Unfortuately it thinks the temp is 60F all the time.
