Title: Ok... one last problem
Post by: on August 20, 2006, 02:18:15 pm
Ok all, so far the help has been great and my machine is up running and dispensing cold bottles. However, I'm having an issue with some of bottles freezing while the others just stay cold. I do know that initially the machine was set WAY too cold but I have since turned the dial all the way down to a 2 and still have some frozen bottles. The wierd part is that the frozen ones appear to be the ones in the middle shelves... The bottom shelf nor top shelf bottles are not frozen. Any ideas? Thanks again... this site is a life saver!

Diet sodas will freeze quicker than sugared ones, but if the airflow is off, it will direct the  "blast" of the chilled air stream at those center shelves, you might wish to check to see if there is some restriction in the air plenum (sheet metal channel that runs up the back of the cabinet) some Cavaliers have this ductwork, some don't , others use a sheet metal diverters along the back wall, &  they have a tendancy to "disappear" along the course of a machines history, so check the airfolw, sometimes you can even see the dust trail along the back wall, (the more dust stuck to the wall=moore airflow is being directed that-a-way...

I was thinking too, if you have one of the upper shelves adjusted too far back ( for a longer bottle) & it's blocking the airflow from going higher & forcing it down along the middle set of shelves .  hmmm   ???

Also put a thermometer in the machine to see what the temperture really is.
