Hello Chaps

My coin mech for the V-56 is in a bad way. Rusted etc.
I haven't managed to get it out yet because I still can't find the tool to underdo those silly screws.

I think that when I do get it out though it will be beyond my capabilities. Is there anyone here (I'm sure there is) who restores coin mechs???

The coin mech is secured with clutch screws? I'll put a set of drivers in your red cross package. Lets see some pics.

Have had a closer look at the coin mech. Hopefully will have it off soon for picutres. I have noticed a wire running to it. Plse excuse my ignorance but what is the wire for. I thought this, like my V39 was a mechanical vend.

Dave,

The wire may be to carry a small current to the mech to keep it warm outside in the winter.

No Dave, that auction is for a small door coin mech the same as your 39.   The 56 uses a large mech.

Wayne is correct. Don't think that eBay mech would work. Not tall enough.

That's my listing.
I have had quite a few question regarding it and the rejectors I have up for auction. One from a guy in Belgium asking if one of the rejectors would fit his 81D. I told him I didn't think so, but send a picture anyway. He sent this shot. Now whether it came this way Vendo or whether someone used this mech in the restoration (paint looks restored), there are some of these mechs out there and they are basically a small door mech in a large door housing.

Okay I have managed to get the coin mech off.

Tom - Here are the pictures. Whilst getting it out a small piece came away. Like a small pointed nail. Not sure what it is. Can't get a close enough picture of it tonight & I can't see where it has come from.
