I just went to look at a westinghouse wc 42. I apologize that I forgot to take my digital camera, but the machine is is good shape. No rust at all. one small ding on the back of the top but it is only the size of a dime. The machine is complete. The man says that it worked a while back but the cord is really bad. What do you all think the machine is worth. It is the later red and white machine. I have attached the pic from this site just to remind anyone which machine this is. I will only buying the machine for resale so do you think this will be a safe deal? what should I offer?

well it is the most popular size machine of it's line, I'd say buy low & sell High! ':p'

seriously though, book value states $675/average condition, adjust for inflation & go from there, offer half & then you'll have more wiggle room heading up the cost "ladder"

beware! this is a heavy puppy! even though it's compact!
oh the book states also that two tones were 1955 and later...

Thanks John. I'll see if I still have enough money. I am going right now to pick up another CS 64. Another machine and I will need a bigger storage unit.
