Machine is good & cold, but developing some condensation problems. Been alitle humid last few days, but not running the A/C. Water is collecting in the bottle storage shelf, not going out the drain tube. Machine is fairly level, but not perfect and drain tube isn't clogged up. Door seals seem fine and feel no cold air leaks or moisture there.

Check door seals. Try a little vaseline. Warm the temperature
of the box up a bit.

On the drain, use new tubing, make a loop,
create a "pea trap" so no air can get up into the box.

Turn the a/c back on! '<img'>

Eric

Something so simple... The door on my USS always has condensation on the glass... I think I straightened that tube out so it would drain better....   '<img'>  '<img'>

Eric does this compressor look like the original, or same model at least, that came in the V-83?

Yes...looks like an orginal to me.

One of the other guys may have had an 83 and could
give a positive ID.

I usually don't see both, unit and machine together. Only when
someone emails a picture, a problem or with one of my units,
installed.

Looks nice! '<img'>

The cold control should be located on the upper evaporator

coil. It will either have a knob with numbers or a slot for a

screwdriver. Turn the unit off, leave it off for 5 min. and turn it back

on. Keep it to where the machine just came on and leave it.

Make sure the machine cycles off. If not...replace the stat.

As a note, this compressor deck looks like mine on my V83, mine's a Westinghouse compressor & my cold control is located on the side of the big rectangular /relay box, ( note the cap-tube on the upper right side)  but my V110 has a standard T-stat located up on the evaporator coil.

Thanks Jonnie...I stand corrected.

Zadd,

A pea trap is where the condensation drains, down to the lower

area, to a pan via tubing or a "s" shaped steel line.  The pea trap

holds a small amount of water, at all times, not allowing air to

travel back up into the box.  You also have one under your sink.

It keeps the sewer smell, from hitting you in the face, while

brushing your teeth...yuk!! '<img'>
