Yes, it is from an "Advanced Manufacturing Company" popcorn machine from the late 1930s.  Star Manufacturing used Advanced Manufacturing as their name during the 1930s.  This particular model is the "Profit" model.  Here is an image from their 1939 catalog:

French Fried Popcorn was a copyrighted name for Advanced Manufacturing Company.  Basically, it was popcorn that was cooked using the wet method, which meant it was cooked in "seasoning" (oil) and salt.
