Title: Total newbie, Lacrosse81(I think), Mouse ate my wire!!!
Post by: miheather on May 26, 2010, 06:54:06 pm
I'm new to the whole scene here, so hello everybody. Anyway, I got an old Lacrosse 81 (best I can tell) from my dad when he passed away. (I'm certain it weighs more than my Dodge Caravan, by the way) It was stored in a barn, and a rodent of some kind has chewed through whatever the hell the wire is called that connects from the machine itself to the front door mechanism and the lights etc.. Does anyone have an idea where I can purchase this wire? Is it just some sort of standard wire I can buy at a hardware store perhaps? Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks
Mike

If it's the between the machine and the door, it's not just a wire but about a half dozen wires inside a plastic casing. Don't worry just cut open the casing and splice or solder the wires back together. They are color coded so match each wire.....white to white, blue to blue etc.
