hello all, picked up 2 machines a select-o-matic wb60-k6-d and a vendo h90b. the westi works ok just needs a good cleaning. the vendo works but the compressor does not shut off no matter how far I turn the knob either direction (it will cycle), maybe this is normal. any tips on what to clean the metal surface and shelves with? I was going to just stickem in the diahwasher and pullem out before the dry cycle.

I cleaned my shelves with TSP, the real stuff not the new "environmentally friendly" stuff. Read the directions as it is caustic. Worked great.

The compressor, well I don't know crap about them and will leave it to the guys that do.

If the machine is cycling as it should, the thermostat is working properly. If only the knob spins, maybe it is not pushed far enough into it's locked position.

Those are both pretty nice looking. Really clean in those pictures. I like the Select-O-Matic. Nice pick-up!
