I picked up this VMC 81 Generic today out of North Little Rock, AR. Marvin and I have been back and forth trying to get in touch with the lady that owned it. Everytime she would respond she wouldnt give a phone number and didnt seem to interested in selling. A little patience pays off and today she came through.

The Westinghouse 44 I found on the way home, I couldnt pass it up as well, Not my style but the mech sure does make it a worthwhile buy.

Nice scores, Joey!  I always seemed to find some nice stuff when I was in the Little Rock area for my 4-5 month stays at the base for training.  I miss going there and antiquing on long trips like that!  All the antique dealers in the area knew me and watched for stuff I liked.

Is the 81 a future Dr. Pepper machine?

the 81 was a Craigslist find, the 44 was sitting up on the highway in Greenbriar. Im keeping the 81, and the 44 I bought for the coin mech.

Dr Pepper is the brand of choice!

The 81 was originally white, It came from the Hot Springs Bottling plant according to the brass tag on the side.

Are you sure there is not a 7UP logo behind a thin layer of bondo?

Is it bad manners to ask what you paid for them?

Some people Care if you ask others do not, I dont care sharing information like this helps out members across the board as values change weekly.

VMC 81 $1,000
Westinghouse 44 $100

Thanks for that information. Knowing what others are paying will help prevent me from paying too much.

Again...Thank you

Yes thanks for the reply.

Joining a forum is like moving to a new school in another state as a kid in a lot of ways.

Seems like good deals to me, especially the Westinghouse (i like it).

Joey,

What are you going to do with the rest of that W44? I want it if you don't. I don't care about the mech. Do you have the space to hold it for me? I would need you to hold it until winter. Maybe if my grandpa has a run down south I will have him get it. I really really want a W44. If you can hold it let me know what you want for it. If you can't hold it I understand and go ahead and get rid of it. If you do hold it it will be a good trial for the mech plate I am making.
