How much tension should be on this door? One of my original springs was broken, so I got 2 new from Funtronic. The door does still have some spring tension on it when closed, but it doesn't really pull tightly against the gasket, and is not fully flush with the front of the machine. I doubt I'd be able to get another full turn out of the springs, though. I'm hoping that time will cause the gasket to compress and seat a little better - I reused the original gasket.

I know this may sound silly but...
When you took things apart, did you happen to removed the gasket...?
If so, when you re-assembled things you may have reversed the installation on the gasket. Meaning the orignal gasket may have been compressed from years of use whereas the outside edge is not as compressed; reversing the gasket may cause the door to remain sealed at the hinge side while the outside edge remains slightly open...
Just a thought...

My six cents,
