MCarter,
Welcome to the SMC forums. It's great to have you here.
You have a round top V-56? You are a very lucky man.
Can you share any photos of it with us?
I don't have a stack for you, but just wanted to welcome you.
Stick around, this is a fun and caring place.

Does anyone know if a stack from a square top will fit?.... If so I'd call Randy in Ozark, MO
at Nostaligic Restoration Service... He has a website....
He has several square tops and if they fit he would probably sell you one....
their site is www.nostalgicrestoration.com

Good Luck

Or there are plenty of folks here who have parted out squaretop V-56s. But i just don't know if they are interchangable with the beautiful roundtops.

Hello and Welcome Matt!!
A square top 56 bottle rack will work just fine. I wouldn't spend any time trying to convert the electric.

Welcome aboard Matt,
Are you going to keep the RC81 and 56? I believe I may have a bottle stack. Terry

Terry,
Not interested in selling the 81 or the 56. How much for your 56 bottle stack?

Matt,

REALLY would like to see pic's of the RC-81. Hope Terry can fix you up that would be the best bet.

The conversion will be hard if not impossible. I've had both types side by side and you would need a donor mech unit and it would still take quite a bit of work. Be sure you get a unit out of a 56 a 63 may be different. Can provide photo's dimensions etc... if needed.

Oh no, if you compare closely  mechanical and electric,  bottle stack components are very similar. The Cam cylinder and hardware for the early style are already reproduced.
There is a small rocker arm controlled by that cam cylinder that needs to be re-made.   Anyone willing to set-up and have this part machined?  I will buy 6.  Funtronics catalogue has a parts breakdown for this stack. They have cam cyl #32 but not  the # 29 rocker arm. Who can make this part?
It's a common problem on those 81's that were converted to electric.

I've got the parts rounded up to convert your electric stack to manual, no problem Matt.  Nothing spectacular, but in the last 2 months I've picked up 3 Vendo 39's, a Jacobs 26, a Westinghouse Standard with a Vendo coin op top, a Cavalier Coke 33, and a Vendo 23.  But it's not like the old days before eBay.  I've also hunted up a coin mech and the bottle door for the 56.  Still can't find the original shelves for your 56, so keep looking.  H.
