Curious to get some input on my missing VCC coin entry bezel that's missing.  I have pretty much figured that I'm not going to run across an extra one, so I've started to think about some other options to replace it.  I have done some plastic molding in the past, and could make a decent replacement, but I don't really like the idea of plastic.  I don't know about machining something, and I definitely don't have the facilities to be doing that work.

What would you do?

I think at one time Funtronics had some of those reproduced.  It might have just been the larger part though.

I have seen a couple pop up on eBay through the years, but they are far and few in-between.
Maybe try your hand at sand casting - lots of web info on it. Might be a viable option until you find the real thing?

Not sure if this link will work (on my phone): https://www.google.com/search?q=vendo+coin+changer&hl=en&client=safari&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=zmYlUd6SJqb-0gHDiIGABw&ved=0CDEQsAQ&biw=320&bih=444&sei=5mYlUYnHFsXj0QGCnYCIAg#i=7

Very Strange. On Chrome it works for 10 seconds then goes to a Google search dialog.
Is the original stamped or cast?

Yeah, same here now that I am finally back to my computer.  Here's the image I was trying to link to.  It's a cast piece.

That is not going to be easy. If you can get some pics of just the part, I'll see if it could be 3D scanned/printed. Debossed lettering doesn't work all that great with 3D.

Suspect it will need to mold cast or CNC. Will be tough to get the detail with sand cast.

Could it not be machined from a block of aluminum and polished?

Sure but that will be very spendy and a one off (unless a CNC profile is built).
I don't know what type of mounting posts are required. Milling threaded posts is serious biz.

Something like this would need to be shopped around for best quality and a discount for multiple pieces. Group buy kinda thing would offset costs some.

Going to cost a fair amount of coin to reproduce that part.
