It's often the "catch 22" between wanting Champagne on a beer budget... tounge  be it reproducing an obsolete part or service work too...I have people calling all the time,

Q) " I have this "Coke" cooler [found behind a dumpster] I want in my basement 'cause it would look soooooo cool! but it needs a new compressor, wiring, etc, etc.  can you repair it for less than $100? ,

A) (umm, No. it will run quite a bit more sir, [insert real world price here])..

Q) Oh, well, your price is way too high! ( based on what I don't know), well don't you have a used compressor you can slap into it that will do?

A) (sure, they're in the dumpster out back, help yourself)

It's natural that people want the path of least resistance (cost), I don't like spending more than I think it's "worth" I've always considered this to be the "Perceived Value" of a good(s) or service(s).

well maybe I'm a little off track , but you get the gist of it.

Anyway, I see the point, cost vs viability.

Yeah..220,221 whatever it takes.
Remember, all it needs is a shot of Freon!
The Vendo V-83 is the '59 Edsel of the coke machine world. ;p
Spray painting does NOT restore a compressor
11 is louder than 10...
"Hope" is good, but it's not an action plan.

Vendo 81's for $500...and  if it's over $600... pee their pants and whine "THAT'S TOO MUCH!!!" Probably the same Guys who work a union job and

I have a large coin door that I think I am willing to part with.

I know where it is in the garage, but I am going to have to get my wife to dig it out for me in the morning, as I still have a cast on my leg.  From there I will take pictures and post here.

I bought a VMC 110 large door last year for parts that I need to finish off my 7up 110.  I had plans to do something with the extra coke door etc... but I find that I'm starting to put WAY too much on my plate lol.. I need to slow down a bit.
