Recently acquired this machine.  Cooler running but previous owner removed vending parts.  Got the parts back but trying to figure out this puzzle and not knowing if all the pieces are there.  Will post pic as soon as I can.  Can anyone help with diagram or parts list... Whatever you have would be good

Jason,

Waiting patiently for a picture of the machine as well as the parts...
You are sure this is a Kelvinator model...? Is the machine upright or a horizontal cooler?

My six cents,

Sorry for such a vague description. Its a Kelvinator, Tag says

Kelvinator of Canada Limited
     London Ontario
Model No. F83B5-50
Volts 110  Hertz 60

1/3 white top rounded corner upright.  Embossed with Coca-Cola
It holds 83, 6oz. bottles in a big wheel.  .10$ machine only and the lever mech. is run by sliding the bottle door up.  Cooling unit runs smooth Motor and compressor are seperate, with belt between them.  1st time I have seen this, but I hahve done very little inspecting of refrigeration units.  I noticed after last post that all the parts are not here.  Telephoned the previous owner and he has all parts.  By the way I paid nothing for the machine.  It was come and get it deal,  cause he is cleaning up the old barn.  Should get my camera back later today.

You're describing a Vendo 83...
If you take a moment and browse the Vendo Section in the Soda Machines Section, look for the model V-83 and let us know if this looks like your machine...

Well the Vendo 83 is really close.  But the coin slot is completly different location.  The one I have is High right.  But everything else is described to a tee.  I took pics today but the cord never came with the camera so they are being emailed back to me.  Will post as soon as I get them.  The ID plate says KEvinator of Canada Limited....  This blows my mind.  Missing some parts, so if anyone has parts list or diagram please post... Thanks in Advance...

Well this just blows me away.  The machine looks and is described perfectly as the Vendo 83.  But the tag on the back show Kelvinator of Canada Limited, and the previous owner got it out of the local skating rink 20 years ago.  So there is no reason to switch identification plates..  So is it a Vendo 83?

And the inside of the door.  I have the tin sheild and found another wheel with holes for bottle extraction.

My thought is that Kelvinator of Canada imported these from the U.S under/with distributing rights from Vendo and "Taged"
them with their manufacture No.'s for sale in Canada, but it's Definitly a Vendo V-83! it must be a very early 40's unit because of the 1/4 H.P. mechanical compressor! good news is that you can service this units cooling system fairly easily (being that it's not a "sealed" compressor) so I'd just treat it as a Canadian Imported V-83  '<img'>

Yeah..220,221 whatever it takes.
Remember, all it needs is a shot of Freon!
The Vendo V-83 is the '59 Edsel of the coke machine world. ;p
Spray painting does NOT restore a compressor
11 is louder than 10...
"Hope" is good, but it's not an action plan.
