I'm hoping there is someone who has an extra 1 or 2 (figuring more I have closer I can get to the color of my door).

I have bezels I can trade and pay shipping both ways, or I can buy outright.

I'd love to keep my machine as close to a nice original as possible.

And yes to those who PM'd me on this.. Jonathan and I already talked about this, and the two Pepsi 81's I acquired, one is a repaint, the other has a silver backing plate..
we where hoping it would work for him,, but unfortunately did not.

Sorry to be uninformed... but what part are you calling a backing plate? I have an original Pepsi 81 I can look at....

Backing plate = the painted plate behind the press down handle that is attached to the coin mech.

I would just paint one and install it.  Once you install the crank handle and shut the coin door you will hardly notice it.

I have an original Coca Cola 81 / D that was missing the back plate I had it powder coated and don't even notice it!

Thanks for the terminology lesson! I've painted a bunch of them and they look fine. Not a part that is noticed much unless they're total the wrong color. i.e. red in a blue machine. Lol.
