Title: Vendo V80
Post by: globalcompressors on December 07, 2011, 09:08:40 pm
Hi Guys,

Doing a V80 for my brother for Christmas.

The problem is, the coin mech is missing some pieces and won't work.

My questions are...

(does anyone have a working, complete, electro mechanical mech for sale?)
or
(has anyone retro fitted a Coinco mech in the machine, and still use the relay?)
or
(can the "jones plug" be jumped for free play? It does have the relay installed and yes,
the vend motor does work)

Any help would be great!

Coinco works just fine........no retrofitting needed.

thanks Glen,

I laid a coinco in the position of the original and physically, it seems to fit.
I was just concerned about that grey relay, wiried into the jones plug and
closing the coin door.

I guess I should have mentioned, the coin mech it has, is one of those 1/2 size mechs with
a long, square tube under, dropping coins into the box.

The half-size coin mech in your V80 is electrically & functionally compatible with a CoinCo 9800 A/B series/120 volt mech. I assume the vending relay is a physical location problem (possibly) , is it possible to relocate it a tad if necessary?   I haven't worked on V80 in a long time, can you possibly post a picture?   :oh:

PS the free-play switch would work fine, although the connection from pin #1 to #7 may not be necessary.
