Restoring America...1 machine at a time!

« on: January 19, 2012, 10:26:03 am »

I am looking for a top notch restorer for one of my machines and wanted to know who you guys use. John (signguy) is booked up solid and rick's restoration won't return phone calls. How does this guy stay in business? Let me know thanks!

I concur, depending where you are east coast or West Coast, I'd recommend Pat or MoonDawg, though Pat has issues  putting woodgrain back on your machine... Smiley

Perhaps you would want to visit sunny Florida and bring the machine with you...
I'm ramping up for restorations again...

I think we have the Woodgrain finish down, this is our 3rd Stoner in this finish and have two Theatres in the shop waiting on the same finish but my painter needs a break 60 hours. in this one but what a shine inside and out!

Awesome woodgrain on that machine Curtis!  Not to hijack the thread but can you post pictures of the machine completely reassembled?  I would love to see it all back together.  How did you refinish the pull knobs.  The originals on my maching like that have a touch of bakelite on the ends.

First off, thanks for the kind words on my work.. it means a lot..
 blush
On another note, it's good to see all of the other guys just as booked up as I am , hopefully a good sign, not only for our Hobby being more popular, but hopefully a good sign that our economy is turning around a little bit..

I currently have orders and deposits down for 7 Vendo 81's and 3 other customer machines, which are a C 51, a Vendo 39 and an Orange Crush Slider... so yeah.. pretty swamped right now.. but if a person can wait till next winter, would love to help.
