I posted a few ago about a Hires slider machine that had been forgotten and left in a garage to rot.I did meet the man who used to own it and we had pretty much made a deal for me to buy it.Well I head back over to where he lives but cant find no one at home but a neighbor sees me and remembers me.He tells me the man has gone to AZ. but should be back soon..Cool..then he asks me.."Didnt you come here to get that machine..? " Yeah..Oh boy...you got problems..he tells me.."UH..what problems I asked .Seems his grandson saw it along with his daughter and BOTH agreed its worth a TON more then what I was going to pay for it and now there going to send it through an auction.."Uh..its a machine that needs a total re-do job and needs quite a few parts.." Well the neighbor tells me good luck and says hes sorry....talk about PO.  darn  censored darn  censored  I gave the neighbor my contact info and asked if he could find out which auction house would he handling the auction...Im going off to pout now... biggrin

Yeah that sucks. Whenever a 3rd baseman gets involved nothing good comes out of it.

That does suck. I'm sure they will be unpleasantly surprised with the auction results.

Another one will come along, Heck, you live in the same state as Slider Bob.  The switcheroo is part of the hobby, and the grand son has been watching too much "reality"  TV. This iwll be a good lesson for him when not only it doesn't sell for a ton of money more, the auction house cut  if sells  will lower the take home  pay even more.
