Boy does that look cool. I want one BAD!! hopefull  The top and front door open up? Does it have a brewer mechanism like more modern coffee machines? Any chance of getting a close up pic of the girl and control panel of the machine? Looks way retro! Looks like a great project!

Larry ~

Yours doesn't look too bad!  Should be a nice project to work on.  I'm with you, though, don't really understand how they work yet!

If anyone runs across a parts machine (or good insides/bad outside) of one of these, please let me know!  I need some of the interior pieces to get mine up and running.

Thanks,

Oldskoolcoinop,

Here's some pictures that you wanted.  I don't know how it makes coffee.  I would assume a filter is used, or instant coffee is used.  My wife and I don't like coffee.  I never made it before.  I just thought it would be a neat way to serve coffee, at parties, to those who like it.  Did they have instant coffee back then?

more pics.

Can't really pick up the girls face to well.

Hey Greg,

If you find a junker, I could use a locking bar on top.  Your machine seems to have its lock.  My whole locking assembly, on top, is missing.  Plus my top lid of the cups.  Do you have any pictures of the inside of your machine?  Just curious to see another one.

I hate coffee as well... Ice Cold Diet Coke right away in the AM does the trick!

Bubba,

Just like adding sugar with your coffee, everymorning I get one lump or two.

Usually I'll wake up and look over at my wife and say "Damn, are you ugly!"  She'll reach under the bed for her cast iron frying pan and chase me around the house untill she whacks me on the head.  That really gets both of our hearts pumping, but I think coffee would leave me with less of a headache, and I could get rid if the nickname Lumpy Larry. biggrin

Actually, I just drink water in the morning.  Probally to take care of the dehydration from the alcohol the night before, or maybe because I'm thirsty and that does the trick.  Two 8 0z glasses. happydrinkers

Sugar doesn't belong in coffee either..  biggrin I have a buddy that drinks ice tea in the morning..

I understand the water idea in the morning, but coffee has water in it... I usually end up drinking a good bit of water before bed...

Larry,

You better make that 3 or 4 lumps!
