Here is my latest project that I just finished. I know that it's not a soda machine, but this was a fun one to restore. My daughter had fun helping me with this one. I thought that it would be a quick easy restore, but boy was I wrong. It was challenging to do, but a lot of fun.  tounge

Awesome job Rod... Would love to have one of those one day.. the 5 & 10 where I grew up STILL has theirs...
Been there since the early 50s... about everyone in my family rode the range on that one... Maybe someday
they'll turn it to pasture and I can get a chance to own it.

again great job!

It's for sale.
P.S. It's ROD short for Rodney. Not Rob.
I already warned Janet that she is not allowed to be out riding the horse during work hours.  biggrin

Nice job Rob!  tounge I mean Rog!  tounge

There was one for sale around me a few years back, but the seller thought they were going to retire on it....wanted like $5000 for it!
The person mentioned that, during parties, adults liked to ride it as well as the kids!

Looks great Rod!  Takes me back to my youth when I would ride them outside the Kresge store in Clawson, Michigan.

And they are a lot cheaper to own than a real horse!!!  I guy in the local newspaper put an ad in the Wanted section that says "I buy anything old that doesn't eat!"...gotta love it!

I need $4,500 for it. I know that sounds high, but try to do one once and see what you end up with. My painter charged me $1,500 just for painting it, then you have the parts that were powder coated, decals, chrome, saddle and bridle was $575.00, and then still had to buy the horse. When I first started I really didn't think that it would be that much to restore, but I got my eyes opened up real fast. It all goes back to a cheap restoration job, or one that you do right. A cheap price you get a cheap restoration job.  upside

If he's interested I can deliver it to Auburn Ind next week. I will be setting up at the Auburn Auto auction and show next week, and will be bringing the ride with me.

No this one has a single speed motor in it. I saw that one your talking about on a U-Tube video. You would pull the reigns back and the horse would shift gears. Not sure how he got it to do all that, but that's a little over the top.

the model my old dime store had was the one where you pulled back the reigns it slowed down...
all for a dime... they did a local newpaper story on it years ago (wish I would have kept it) there's
a counter on the inside and they were figuring how many times it had been ridden.
