Usually a newbie  will ask " how do we all find so many machines?", and the old timers will  always tell them,   "let your friends and family, coworkers, the guy at the supermarket, the flea market, etc know
you are looking

Thanks to that philosophy,  I  picked up a half a dozen of Canada Dry 6 0z Bottles, still filled and capped.  Based on the painted labels, i  am guessing 1950's, or they made repros in which case i will be embaressed.  And a few painted coke bottles in near mint condition
Since i   also collect and work on Jukeboxes, found a 45 of the Faygo song ( That's why we Remember0 and some mint 78's of Tony Bennett,  Glen miller orcestra, and the the one that made me laugh , Desi Arnes  signig Bubbaloo. Can't wait to get the Rockola done to hear it.

Oh yeah, thanks to my brother in law who called from an estate sale he dropped  in, i am now the newest member of the Bowling game  owners club. It's a pretty clean 1957 Chicago coin Bowling league.
A big thanks thanks to (Larry) Mills400 and  Leonard and the others here who taught me what to look for in a game.   It doesn't  power up, but i don't think that is going to be an issue figuring out.

Oh, and Monday, i close on the house, so the Michigan mafia, and  evetyone on the board  is invited to the Summer BBQ, a little music, a lot of Faygo, Better made chips and Kowalski Hot dogs on the grill, and maybe but doubtful, the game room completed. At least I have plenty of games and distractions

Nice finds all-Jim!

I just closed the deal on a vintage 12 foot shuffleboard table.  Haven't picked it up yet but will in the next week.  Will post pictures at that time.

I look forward to bowling a few games at the BBQ!

It's a ball bowelr, from what I could find on it so far, it was Chicago Coin's first ball bowler, released early 1957.
I will get some pictures up, I'm even geeked on the bottles, Canada Dry was  big in Detroit growing up, and I've never seen their  6-8 oz bottles  with painted labels, let alone still filled.

Overall it's in really really good shape. Some cleaning to do,  find replacement pins with  numbering, and hire someone to move it next time

I never thought I'd get a bowl bowler version, they're just to expensive.  So when my Brother-In-Law called from the estate sale, i figured at first it was a kid's game, then the more he described it, the more I realized what it might be.
The best part,   It was the second day of the sale, and  they were having a 50%  off sale. I almost wet myself  when they  said,  that includes  the bowling machine. The tag said $500, I  got it for $250.

War Dept. said we should find one of those. I've got the room in the basement. How many sections did it break down to?
Thanks!

We broke it into 4 pieces:
4 bolts and the player end of the alley  detaches.
4 bolts  and the back glass and  box come undone.
We went one step farther than the 3 part breakdown shown on a flier I found  and  detached the front half of the alley from the rear mechanics, due to the  limited space and clearance at the top of the stairs

Everything fit in a full size F150,. Because the bed was only 6 ft, he back glass box had to go in  crew cab.
