Title: Generic ideal 55
Post by: on August 01, 2002, 10:59:58 am
I saw a generic (non-embossed)  Ideal 55 (painted Pepsi light blue, with Pepsi Decal on the front) the other day while on my way to work.  No time to stop and look at it up close, but from the road it didn't look bad so I called on it.  $175, it cools and has the coin mech.  I forgot to ask if the slider rack was there.  Does that sound like a fair price?  I don't have any idea of what the generic 55's are worth.  If the price is right, I could finish the generic in any brand, maybe slap some UV/weather resistant paint on it and leave it out on my deck or make one of those soda bars out of it.......as long as the  SM.com regulars don't organize a lynching party and come lafter me?  :D

A average  Ideal slider none inbossed that is in good shape goes from $250 - $400 So if you buy it  at $175 you got
a deal and as far as what you do with it is yours and no body
else.

But what ever you do  let us know. And send in a photo of it.
