Joey, my mech has a chrome top which is where the coins are deposited.  Not sure that they are the same, but I'll post the pics that I have.

Joey,  I still have my 85 slider apart I have the coin mech laying out and it worked fine when I took it out.  I am no good with pictures but if you are over this way you can look at it and see if it will help.   I will throw it in the car if I am coming over that way.

anybody have a scan of how all the parts are supposed to be? Still having hell of a time getting this thing together. Starting to think I might be missing parts. GB woud it be possible to borrow yours so I can get an idea of this thing?

Joey,
My manual is for a Model 300 and Model 70 Ideal dated 1950.
The mech schematic has a dual coin chute and dual coin discs, but looks fairly similar to the pics posted here.
Let me know if you think this would help and I'll get a scan or copy to you.
