That is worth more than $250. I'd hold it for awhile.

I thought so, I sold one two years ago for 400 on eBay. I was just telling my wife for 250 I may just hold it. Thanks for the input .

So stop! You're flooding the market and making it hard for the other guy.

P.s.,did you ever acquire the 9/10 Pepsi81?

So if this is just the coin door with NO bezel than $250 is fair??

A Vendo Bezel is valued at around $100

The Vendo Bezels are a solid $100-$135

The VMC Bezels are all over the place based on individual private sales predominately.  They are no longer $350.  I'd say modestly between $425-$600 which many will argue is too damn high!!

If I were selling a VMC bezel I would have it chrome plated first, (probably a $60 -$75 investment), put all new foil decals on it, paint all the de-bossed lettering white, and sell it on e-bay. It would get $800++.

$200 is way too much. Glen has a awesome plater and polisher who comes by his shop every Saturday for pickup and delivery. Texas Speed and Sport might be $200.

What metal is the original Vmc/vendor bezel made out of?
Thank you

Probably just pot metal.. wonder if sand casting could be done to make bezels... I did that back in college in sculpture class... Probably too pricey.

Here is a site that talks about sand casting.. they show using aluminum.. Some of my sculpture friends cast in bronze.

I also use to work at a die casting company right out of high school... Was hot year round in there... Not the best way to loose weight...
we had two departments one was aluminum the other was zinc.
When I did sand casting we had to make a special wax model first.. If a few wax models could be made of the bezel first they could cast a few at a time
maybe could bring price down. I think this would be the best way... no dies to be made. Though again I don't know how much $$$ we would be talking
or how big the demand is... You would need a clean, straight original to work from that isn't chromed... or you would loose detail as this would be a
second generation cast. Chrome would have to be gone or the cast would just be smoother and less detailed... you need the chrome removed and don't buff/polish it
as you remove the sharp edges and detail.  Chrome is just a smooth coating that fill in the rough surface but also smooths/ rounds the edges... and I've seen some
chrome work that by the time they are done polishing darn near all the lettering is gone.
