Guys, I put the S75-9800C into my Cav 72 about 10 years ago and it's been perfect. Until now. It's not taking quarters anymore. They just drop right though to the coin return. Dimes, nickels are still working fine. "Have A Coke" and "Use Correct Change Only" lights are working fine. But, even with the "Correct Change" light out, and plenty of nickels in the mech, it is still not taking a quarter.
I don't know where to start looking.

Have you tried cleaning the slug rejector with soap and water?  You can pull it out with the two tabs at the top of either side, then give it a good cleaning, or throw in the dishwasher, let it dry thoroughly then give it another try.

Really? Soap and water?
No, I haven't even removed it yet. I thought I'd seek some input from folks that know what they're doing before I start fiddle with it. Thanks!

Just the slug rejector, not the rest of the mech!

It's the top section of the coin mechanism that rejects bad coins.  There are two tabs at the top corners of the mech, lift those up and pull the front top of the mech towards you, that piece is the slug rejector.  The bottom is held in with two posts.

When you clean it, gently pry open the arms and clean inside of them, then let it dry.

Remember folks... The Coinco S75-9800 A/B series coinmechs are setup to reject quarters if there aren't enough nickels in the change tubes.  ( unless you move a jumper-wire on the back of the change-tube switch refer to manual)

Plus you said your "Use correct Change" light is on I believe?

Ah, had to re-read that!

could just be a burnt out 25-cent CREM (Coin-Reject-Electro-Magnet).

Unplug the mech, disconnect the two wires that go to it & use an Ohm-meter it out to check for continuity.
