I have a CVC 168-5 - Choice Vend Machine that I believe has a MAR 5800 coin mechanism.  Aren't the switches located on the front of the nickel, dime and quarter coin tubes to be used to dispense change from the bottom of the coin mechanism as desired and then switched off.  My changer seems to work and give change, however, it doesn't do anything when I trip any of the switches.  Thanks..

I believe the switches on the MARS changer are for "inventory" that is to say counting the money held by the change tubes only....but they may be programed (diabled) I think on certain Mars coinmechs by mean of the dip switches.

I just bought a used MC5800.  When I push those switches up (on) they clear the coin inventory one coin at a time. I can stop the process at anytime by switching it off.
