Need approximate value/information on Westinghouse WH-5T that a friend has asked me to sell for her..since this is new territory for me, I need some help with evaluating condition and maybe some ideas about what this machine is worth. First, the compressor and fans run fine, but it doesn't get cold..she has a refrigeration guy taking a look at that problem. Paint is a bit scruffy, a little rust on the galvanized interior. Also, the outside embossing reads "Drink Coca Cola", while the inner liner of the lid reads "Enjoy Coca Cola". Does this mean that the lid-liner isn't original, and if so, would that have any real affect on the value? Also, this particular one has the "rollers" option. There are more numbers on the plate, including part number and serial number, if that's important to the value. I'm attaching a few photos to show the general condition. Any help would be appreciated..

Hi VMnewbie,
The WH just denotes that has the red/white paint scheme, but it is the same model as the WD-5. You do not see a lot of this model.
Looks to be in nice condition - the inside panel is not original as it is a much later logo.
Not cooling is bad, but it may be a simple fix.
My best guess:
Compressor fixed and functioning properly = $500-$600
Compressor not working - $300-$400

I cannot see the back of the machine in your picture.
I can see the line cover, but cannot tell if the compressor cover there?
If not, my estimate values may be slightly high as it(compressor cover) is a hard item to find and usually has to be reproduced.

Thanks for the information. Location is near Houston, TX. Would it help the value to replace the liner with the correct one, and if so, any ideas on where to get a liner? I'd like to have the machine "original" if possible.

I suspect this cooler has the original liner on the lid and has a decal covering it!
It should just peel right off.

That is a sweet cooler. Now that you have been introduced to this soda machine
lifestyle, you will begin to see several more that you would like to own.  You will also look
back to Feb 2008 and wish you would have bought this very cooler you are now trying       to sell.
Before she spends money on bringing in a refrigeration man, you should buy it. As
stated earlier that refrigeration unit is pretty obsolete and if it won't work it is usually replaced rather than fixed. Or it might be a bad fan motor or thermostat, easy fix.
But if you can buy what we call a nice complete original for under $500.00, your
money will be well invested.

Glen's (MoonDawg) suspicion that the original liner is still there under the later logo may in fact be true and is very likely.
If not, it would not be hard to make.
Attached is a pic of an original liner - I can get you a better pic if needed.
