Great find, I really like the sliders and that looks like a good one.  I can even see the rack in the one photo it just looks like the back bolts are out.

Congrats on the sliders.. I love them too.. .run one daily on the back porch minus rack with pop and beer and water in it... bear to completeley restore, but maybe just needs a cosmetic facelift... I bought that pepsi on in Il for $300 and change with Rack, but just yesterday got a lead on a ideal JR , No rack for $300... so gotta follow up on that .

Just got back from looking at another CL listing.
Looks like I'll be getting a Cav 72 for $800 - gave a 10% deposit with balance and p/u due on Monday.
More to follow.....
One heck of a CL day!!

Wow, great!  Most of what I see on Craigslist locally is priced way too high.

Tom,

If my memory serves me, you reside in the Scottsdale area...
If true, I'm going to talk with my good friend that lives around the corner from you and get him to start keeping an eye out there in your neck of the woods ! ! !
You've been really acquiring some good stuff as of late...
Most unfair for the rest of us folks...

No need to involve other people Jim - I already have BryanH.

About the Cav72:
Both the Glasco and Cav72 were on CL. I called the number on the Glasco and they kind of balked at holding it for me until tomorrow, so I asked some questions about it and if they had a PayPal account. She said they did and I said I would PP the amount - figured I couldn't go wrong on a complete slider unless I got taken for the full amount, but I felt pretty comfortable talking to her.
The Cav72 was also listed midday today as a 1958-1959 Coke machine and not much else. I emailed and left my number. I got a call a little after 4pm. I asked a few questions and was told it was a CV72 - at first I thought it was a ChoiceVend. I asked if it had square corners or round corners - he said round - I knew right then it was a CS72. He said he was leaving right then to go down to the storage unit and was supposed to meet somebody else. I jumped in the car and took off. It is one of the straightest bodies I have seen, but has some other paint on it. I could see the shelves and rack through the bottle door, but the coin door was locked. Laid down I could see a solid compressor compartment, so I decided to do it sight unseen so to speak.

Then the other guy showed up - snooze you lose!

I'll be sure to post all pics when they get home.

Tom,  that's a great deal, the rack typically sells for 125-150 itself.  It looks like a Glasco slider, I picked up one in Michigan a couple years ago, paid 160 for the machine, but had to buy a mech ($90) and rack ($125) to complete it.  They are great looking machines.

The cool thing about my slider is it's from my hometown in Michigan, also it's the only machine in the collection my wife likes.  So whenever she complains about the machines I mention it's time to sell the Glasco and I know she won't even consider it.

My wife just shakes her head now!
That takes years to accomplish ! ! !
For those newer members, this is difficult to achieve, but possible none the less...
This signifies that she has come to the realization that her significant other is having fun and enjoys this hobby; I shouldn't deprive him of his euphoria!

I picked up the slider today - pretty good shape - no real bad rust that I can see and no major dents to speak of; however, the guys kids had taken the coin mech apart. There is a bag of parts, but I don't think it is all there - let me rephrase that - I know it is not all there! The tag says insert one dime and one nickel, but there is only one rejector and no rejector mounting bracket. It looks like most of it is there though, but having not personally seen one before I don't know.

Can somebody post a pic of a complete installed Glasco 50 mech???

He also had a pinball machine called 'Fandango' - single player - $200
and a 1970's video game 'Bombs Away' - said it needs a new board. He has them both listed on Phoenix CL I think.
If anybody has any interest in either, I can pick up and ship for you. I have a 6' heavy duty pallet I could put the pinball machine on to ship LTL. I didn't have any interest in a single player machine, so I passed.

Thanks Moondawg!
It looks like I am only missing the rejector bracket. The rejector he had is not correct - I think it goes to a pinball machine.
No big deal though - I got a bunch of small door rejectors.

Anybody have a Glasco rejector mounting bracket?

Looks like I need a Bent Coin Release knob/lever too - just the little handle part that is visible from the outside of the box.

As I look at the pic more, it looks like I only have one of the locking dogs also and it looks like there is some sort of plate behind the coin block.
Disheartening, but it looks like I'll be trying to find another mech.

If anybody has one - let me know. Will buy outright or maybe I have something you need.

The return knob is easy to make. Use an 8-32 roundhead screw
with one or 2 nuts screwed all the way to the top covered with a
rubber endcap.

For some reason I have an orphan glasco part if this helps.

Picked up the Cav 72 today!
Exterior is in really nice shape (body wise) - a couple of small dents next to the lock where somebody half-heartedly tried to pry it open, but not much other than that.
I called Fun-Tronics and they have a key so we will all have to wait for the rest, but here are a few pics.
