vendo 39 question

Ive just started to take some of my vendo 39 apart for cleaning and have 2 questions.Is the original bottle opener cast or chrome?Mine is so dirty i cant tell,What should i use to clean it?My 2nd question is what was the original pop door made of ?...thanks again...kevin G

The bottle door opener was/is cast and was painted (as far as I know) but they do look but better chromed on a restored machine in my opinion.  I just sandblast mine and have them chromed.

The bottle opening door is a combination of things but mostly plastic.  Easy to find parts if yours is missing or broken and some parts are reproduced.

Keep asking questions as you have them and pictures always help.
