What do you think this is worth.  Looks mint.  Asking $550.  Appears to be complete.

That's a steal at $550.

That is what I was thinking.

Does anyone know if you can but larger bottles in this machince or only the 8 oz?

I don't know if I would call it a steal.. Its not a very practical or desirable machine.. 8oz and only one flavor..

Nice original though. It wouldn't have to be restored.

Nice original machine but the price seems a bit high and it does not have a lot of utility.  Too bad that drum cannot be modified to hold long neck beers.  It would be a great party machine!

Looks to be in great shape. I would pay $500 for that any day.  I must not be looking in the right places.  We don't see a lot of original vintage machines in good shape in the southeast.  I am 2 hours from Atlanta and 2 hours from Charlotte (The home of Coke and Pepsi) but not many decent machines come on the market, and when they do they are way overpriced.  I guess most of the oldies rusted out from the humidity.  It would be interesting to know what part of the country has the bulk of the supply of old machines.  My guess from what I see advertised would be the northeast.

For a nice original, I would pay that

Would you be able to vend cans? It doesn't look like it would be too hard to do that.

Cola62,
I would think that the soda machines are a lot like cars.  I would be willing to bet you can find a lot of unmolested machines in the midwest.  I once found a V-39 without the rack system for $50.  It was painted the light green, even though still marked with "Coca Cola".  That was in Memphis, back in 1991.  I wanted that thing something awful, but alas, I was a young Marine on my way to Hawaii and had no way to ship it anywhere, so had to pass it up.  Been wanting one ever since, Coke machine that is.  Drop me a line if you know what kind of machine you're looking for and if I come across one, I'll let you know.  Email:  kntreyn@yahoo.com.  All I can tell you is what's here in Central Texas as I find it.  Certainly want those that will appreciate them to have them, if you know what I mean.

Best Regards,
Ken

If you could get cans in it there would be no way to grab them. When you lift the door you grab the neck of the bottle to pull  it out. With cans there is no way to get it out.
