I have a choice vend 142 that has a bad "vend limit switch". this is a switch that sit under the auger to start and stop it.

Does any one know were I can get a replacement and how much it will cost?

Thanks

Yes...Me!  '<img'>  (shamless plug) I have some very good used motor/helix/gear assy's. To be sure It's apples & apples can you show a picture of your assembly? I've wired up a tester to test & set up these vend motor/helix gears to vend bottles or cans, I'm asking $50.00 +shipping for the complete unit, which will give you: A spare motor/switch, a set of four gears(gray "delron"-plastic),& the augers(black nylon) too,(one each of a front,mid-front,mid-rear & rear) & of course the frame they come on, so you can just swap out the whole assy if you wish. I have a printed view of the helix/gear setup too. a nice package deal... let me know if you're interested...JohnieG

The one you have is diffrent mine has 4 selections and yours seems to have 5.
I think I may have found the switch at a local eletrical supply store. If it does not work I may want to buy your's for parts.

I will have the switch early next week. I will let you know what happens.

No problem James, the helix/gear assemblys are the same for both machines, and are interchangable, each column has it's own gear/motor assembly that drops out from the bottom (or you can just remove the whole lower vend unit & do it on a work bench) they remove with one 1/4 drive screw & unplug from the rear underneth the vend unit after removing the augers, (by removing there top strap) it drops out by pushing it slightly backwards & down & out the front...inspect the gear nearest the motors drive worm-gear closly & make SURE that there's no striping going on (usally caused by a can-jam)
you can find a switch locally with some digging but the gears aren't avalible anymore.  '<img'>
