Sorry, but it's a POP MACHINE!

« on: November 20, 2006, 06:54:11 pm »

After almost 5 months, I picked up my Cavalier CS-80C from the body shop today.  It's now time to clean things up to put back on (which I guess I should have done during the wait '<img'> ) and put it all together.  Eric rebuilt the cooling system and it will be nice to get it out of the box that has been blocking the juke all fall '<img'> .
I pumped.  Wish me luck!  '<img'>

Okay wise guy!  ':p' The origninal looked fine, but once I reduced it the image looks pretty bad!
The sides are decals.  They originally said that they were going to apply them between the clear coats, but they got set aside and forgot.

The decals are from Fun-Tronics.

It's done - for the most part.  I have to order a smaller gasket for the main door.  The one that I ordered was a bit too big and I had to cut out the middle part so that the door would close.  I also need to get a new gold trim piece for the bottom.
I used a 6-foot rope light to illuminate the bottle door.
Now I have to clean up the basement!

That looks great!! I hope mine turn out this good. '<img'>  The rope light looks good too. Does it illuminate enough to see what you're pullin in the dark? I can't tell from the pic.

Yea, it does illuminate it enough to see.  I tried to get some LED rope lights (less heat) but all I could find is multi-colored ones, and those were in the Christmas area.

White LED in different lengths

Don't know if this is what you were looking for. Thought I'd throw it on here. Pretty cheap and good lengths. I think I'm going to get if for mine. Wonder if they a 27 footer for my RC! LOL!

Thanks for the link.  I was able to find a 9 foot LED rope light for $10 at Menards last night.  For some reason they split up the Christmas lights in to a number of sections and have no rhyme or reason on how it's done.  I found the white LED rope lights across from the weed wackers!  They put the different colored ones with the novelty lights.

Very Nice indeed!  Menards has ( had when I went anyway) a nice little 3/4" thick cool white flourecent light stick that fit perfectly into this Vendo VF90s bottle rack. great light & not too thick as to interfere with the bottle necks rolling down the rack.

I originally found something like that at Menard's too, but it didn't fit in very well and was interfering with the bottles  '<img'> .
That sure does look bright!

I put the LED rope lights in (photographs the same as the regular ones in).  I had a regular 6 foot set (double run)and the LED (triple run) one is 9 feet long.  My observation is that the 9 foot LED is the same brightness as the regular 6 foor one.  The LED has a very noticable blue tint to it.  With the regular set, you could feel the warmth coming from them even a few inches away.  The LED rope is cold, so it will keep the compressor from running as much.

As it was getting darker on the East side of the basement, I noticed that the LED's were really blue and they were not very bright.
I brought back out a square tube-like rope light (metal on three sides and clear on the 4th).  It is made to be placed under cabinets.  I used some wire ties to hold it and it kept slipping forward.  I figure that it will stay put better once door is closed and plastic wire ties get cold and hold the shape better.
Ahhh, this is much brighter!  I'll see how I much I like this solution!
