I purchased a 4 select Vendorlator that has been refurbished by Vendo.  I have been trying to find out what model it is.  The tag would normally tell a person that information but all this one says is Factory Refurbished by Vendo.  The place for the model number is blank.  Of course I looked in the soda section and did not find a picture of it.  If anybody has an idea I would appreciate it.  I am going to be needing a few parts and the model number will come in handy.

The changer is a Reed Industries, R2m 2000.  I have looked it over and it looks like I will have to replace it.  The circuit board looks like it is a little burnt.

I saw that his is a La Crosse machine.  I looked at the pictures of the can machines that La Crosse produced and they look like my machine.  Mine has the Serpentine Vending Mechanism.  I hope I am wrong in assuming that a company like Vendo would take another company's product and make it there own.  Bad, very bad.

Ah! What you have here my friend is a Early 60's Vendo VF132A-4 conversion, (converted from 12 oz. glass bottles to 12oz. steel cans ) I have a Vernors ginger ale VF132A-4, here's a picture of the machine. It's a nice machine & quite heavy!

Yeah..220,221 whatever it takes.
Remember, all it needs is a shot of Freon!
The Vendo V-83 is the '59 Edsel of the coke machine world. ;p
Spray painting does NOT restore a compressor
11 is louder than 10...
"Hope" is good, but it's not an action plan.

Ah, thank you that is what I needed to know.  The machine is not that heavy.  I can almost carry it by myself.    Now on too finding out what parts I need for it.  I have already noted a few missing parts.  Nothing major.

I was planning on replacing the Coin Mech.  I do have a 9800 B that needs fixing.  The problem it is having is that it will not stay at the price you set it at.  One time you use it is 50 cents and the next time it is 40 cents.  Also the only prices it can be set at is 50 and 40 cents.  I will be getting with you soon about it.

Found out today that the compressor is shot for this machine.  The soft start that was on it was pretty fried, so I had a friend who works with refrigeration come over to help me.  He brought a hard start and we tried that.  The compressor would come on for about 2 seconds and then the hard start would blow a breaker.  Looks like a new compressor will be in my future real soon.  I tried the coin mech that came with the machine on another machine I have.  It accepted Quarters and Dimes but when you tried Nickels the little mechanism that reads the Nickel sticks.  Should not be to hard to fix.  It gave out the correct change.  I was also able to change the price.  The burn section on the circuit board does not seem to affect it.

I have not been able to get it to vend.  The coin mech will not accept coins but I can move the Nickel acceptor and get a click when I hit the right amount for a vend.  I can get a click every time I hit the right amount.  Pushing one of the buttons does not matter.  I think the problem lies in the box the coin mech plugs into.  After I replace the compressor I will tie into it.
