Hi guys,

Can someone tell me if the door glass in a Cav CSS-8-64 (model "G") is two or three panes ?  (mine is shattered and I only see two panes, but there's a second gasket on the other side of the glass).

Also can you give me the dimensions for the glass ? I got something like 37 x 5.5" when I measured what was left of mine, but I want to be sure.

I found a local store that can custom order the whole thing as a single unit (glass and gaskets already assembled) but I need to be sure of the measurements and if it's two or three panes.

If you have to go there to order it, just bring the door to them.

I always had 3 panes of glass in any of the Cav 64's that I have owned.
Dont forget to have the holes or one corners snipped on the two inside
panes of glass.  Oo

So 3 panes with foam gasket sandwiched between each ? (ie. 3 panes, 2 gaskets)

Any chance of a photo ?

I went ahead and ordered new glass. They told me double pane would be sufficient these days, and triple pane would be extremely expensive, so I took their word for it.

Double pane thermal glass, 37 x 5.5" x 1" thick came to just under $70 at Rona. Special order so I'll get it some time next week. I'm guessing 1/4 glass and 1/2 spacer.

Got a new door latch and a shelf coming from loman4ec, so I'm slowing getting it all together. After that it will be finding 3 more shelves and some smaller stuff.
