Just a few quick shots of a 60's Vendo model VH63B I had a service call on today, nice little machine, & what's most unique is it's original GLASS Coca~Cola light-up sign!

It's been through a few theme changes over its working life, from a solid red machine, to white sides, and then the vinyl wood-grain from the "Real thing" era. but all it took was one little mouse to nibble the wiring harness down below & it sat idle for quite few years,

The current owner near Milford Michigan, contacted me to give it the once over as he wished to move it inside to the basement of his home and put it back to work cooling cold ones. ( he had gotten a nice VMC VF126/Pepsi to use but it was too tall to fit under his basment ceiling, so now that machine is religated to garage duty)

So it ended up with a complete rewiring of the damaged & brittled lower wire harness, replacing the condensor fan-motor, (burnt out thanks to mousy & his nest) & re-assembling the vending mechanism ( the bottle stack had been placed in "free-vend by physically tying the vending link witha piece of copper wire) but thankfully all of the orignal parts were still in the machines pre-cooling area.

I supplied him with a new (refurbished) coinmech, and had to rewire the bottle-door lamp as it was both missing & the wires where cut short in the door-liner. The light-up sign needed a new lamp & FS2 starter, and a rewire of the on/off switch to bring it back to its shining glory. all it needs is a bottle cap-catcher to complete it , and the vending solenoid tin-cover (he has the coinbox, it's just not installed at the time of the pictures)

You gotta luv it when a machine comes back from the dead. all in all about 2-1/2 hours to re-assemble & rewire.

Yeah..220,221 whatever it takes.
Remember, all it needs is a shot of Freon!
The Vendo V-83 is the '59 Edsel of the coke machine world. ;p
Spray painting does NOT restore a compressor
11 is louder than 10...
"Hope" is good, but it's not an action plan.
