Title: Coinco
Post by: kevib71 on February 26, 2020, 09:29:51 pm
Ok. Bought this Coinco F150-9802A 24 on eBay. They were selling as a 24 volt but the transformer states 117 vac 60 CY, 12 vac. It's a 9800A or B isn't it? I just bought because of price so I don't care if it is not 24 volt.

The transformer does indeed indicate that it is a 120 volt mech , not a 24 volt

Thanks Johnie! I had a hunch as it had no markings on the eBay pics as what actual model it was. It works out for me as I could use a a back up for my Cavalier CS-64. Is there such a thing as a 24 volt with a 8 pin jones plug? I've seen some on sale with that description.

Oh yes, the early models of the Coinco 24 volt series of coinmech’s   have the same 8- pin jones plug as the 120 volt mech, only the low volt unit has a big orange sticker on the side stating “24 volts only”  ( or rather it’s supposed to have the sticker)  Obviously this lead to a bunch of fried mechs when the low voltage units were plugged into a high voltage machine,    Coinco corrected this by making the low voltage models with a different jones plug.
