Seems that my machine is up and running fine.  I'm just skeptical about the cut in and cut out temperatures.  As far as I can tell, cuts off at 30 deg and back on at 48.  Only comes on about twice an hour.  Is that too big of a range?  Machine is empty because I'm trying to test out the temperature range.

I have the original thermo with the infamous one screw.  I don't see cut in and cut out screws.

Ok, so I couldn't sit still and leave it alone.  blush  I adjusted the screw on the back...nevertheless it wasn't right.  Compressor never kicks on now, unless you adjust the front temp screw.  Back to the drawing board.  I'll just put it back where I think it was and try again. hopefull

But machine now would be perfect for keeping hot chocolate or coffee.  darn

Guess I won't have machine running before the superbowl.

Ok ok, I'll be shopping for a new thermostat.  Dang, It's easy to rack up expenses when refinishing these things...I'm glad it's fun for now.

After trouble shooting some more, compressor would sometimes come on.  I could manually turn it on. So it is...a new cold control.  I tried buying local but they were too proud of their product.  Hopefully the one I bought from Grainger will work.   It says for use with bottle cabinets, not to sure what that means.  Range is suppose to be adjustable from 35-55 deg. One of the pros here can let a newbie know if this will work.  About $25 shipping and all.

Of course, Funtronics and SodaJerkWorks has them too.  Grainger promised next day delivery so I chose them.  Not too many choices here in West Alabama that I know of.

Sam's club or Costco carry bottles at far better prices  than the $4-5.00 a six pack the grocery store has them for
