HI every one

I want to know if on a Cavalier USS 8 or on a USS 12 if i take out
the vending solenoid if the vending mechanism will still works ?

Will it be like a free vend ?

       You only need to remove the little flapper attatched to it, which prevents the lockout bar from operating. But DON'T LOSE IT!  biggrin

You can see the flapper in the attached photo, just to the left of center. You should be able to remove the bracket holding it in to remove it.  Like Moondawg said, don't lose it!  I'd tape it to the same bracket that it's mounted on, that way if you ever go to sell the machine or want it to vend on a coin, you can put it back together easily.

The other option so you don't lose any parts would be to rig a free vend switch.  I can't remember who on the site sold me the one for my 64 but it works great.  It is wired using the info in this thread:

But as you can see, the switch is wired to a jones plug connector and the switch is mounted to the top of the coin mech with velcro.  The switch is activated using the coin return lever.  That way you don't have to modify or drill holes and you can unplug the free vend and plug in the coin mech when you want to charge.  Best of both worlds!
