Post by: sodaman on June 20, 2011, 02:46:11 pm
Brad writes this: hope you can help me with my Vendo-23. I'm wanting to take off the door where the bottles are stored. I have taken off the chains, but now I can't get the door out because of the 2(hinges?) don't know what you call the obstruction)

Can you please give me some advise?

I just took the door off mine today. I am pretty sure you are having trouble with the cotter keys, it took me awhile to figure it out as well. The best way I can explain it is... it looks like a clothes pin. When they were installed they started off straight. It went through the hole, and then they were bent apart so they would not come back through the hole. So what you have to do is reach underneath the "hinge" and bend both sides back straight. Then take a pair of plyers and pull it through. It may take a lot of elbow grease depending on your machine. Mine took a while. Let me know if that helped or not.
