So guys, any idea on the going price for an Ideal 55B/RC Cola?
I'ts embossed on the front, complete ( the tall coin-mech works, runs/cools,& has the rack, cap catcher, keys, lock, etc.) nothing major in the way of dents, no rust, (paints way faded though) any thoughts on an offering price? it's listed in Jeff Walters 3rd edition soda machine reference guide page #273 @ $425.00 average price. any input would be a help!
Thanks! ...JohnineG

JohnineG,

FYI, I just sold that exact machine a month ago for $450, sothe guide is right on for value.  But of course it always depends on the seller too.

Just thought I'd post a simular picture of an Ideal RC35 for show and tell, this one went for around $500 on Ebay last week.  :0  (a WEE-bit high for me!;)

I don't know, at $450 if it's in as good as shape as the picture shows I wouldn't hesitate. Then again I'm one of those fools that always rush in. I'm an expert on getting screwed via Ebay. By the way anybody have a nice 6 case or a self serve 110?

F.Y.I.  Johnie I have a 7Up. 55 Slider Before I restored
it I was  offered $ 500 cash right in front of my eye's
and I turned it down .

And it was faded real bad and was in need of a good
cleaning.

Hope that helps you .

That was a RC Ideal 35 that went for almost $800 from vintage Vending. It was sniped at the last second. Pretty good deal!

Hello,

I think the going rate on decent 55's that are complete is between $700 - 900...
I could be wrong but this is what I have observed over the last few months...

Just an update... Thanks for all the feedback guys! I snaged it for $295.00, it's solid, runs quiet and cold, but most importantly it's COMPLETE !!!    and as I type it sit's in my garage (all ready torn down and being prep'd for the rebuild
it came with the capcatcher, coinmech, racks in good shape, no dents,no rust, just someone tried to brush a coat of coke red on it???( I think they were thinking of sticking a Coke sign on over the "Royal Crown" logo as it was marked off with some lines the size of a sign big enough to cover the front).  I'll snap some "before" pictures to post & TRY to update as I progress on it. again thanks for all the input...JohnieG

Johnie,

Great price on the slider!  Keep us posted on your progress... If you want to sell and make a little money, GW at Back In Time Warehouse is looking for RC sliders and will pay up to $750 for a complete box.

Audiobeer,

That's one of the many reasons we started SMC Auctions!

Any feedback on the New Bulletin Board is welcome...
