Cool looking machine. Restored by Vintage Vending years ago with custom graphic work. An "odd duck" for sure.

I have one and it will look great painted up like this. I started a thread to get people to post theirs so I could get some ideas, but it went nowhere.

It will need to maintain temp at -20 for ice cream.

You'd need to change the capillary tube on the compressor assembly, but R12 would get down to that temperature easily. it would also depend on the condition of the original insulation, it may look like a repainted spin-top, but it's built for the job.
