Title: Lancer cooler/dispenser
Post by: dwhipper61 on August 21, 2006, 09:20:33 am
Hello everyone,

I am not really sure if this qualifies as a syrup dispenser or not, but I was hoping someone could help me out.  This is a Lancer model 85-1005 that I picked up last weekend for $10.  Did I over pay?  I plugged it in and the compressor and fan run, and each of the valves make noise when pressed.  What do I need to make this thing serve cold Cokes?  Is there any way to tell if it cools?  I only ran it long enough to hear the compressor start.  Does anyone know where I could get an owners manual?  I searched Lancer Corp’s web site, but did not find any hits for this model.

THANKS in advance for any and all comments,
David

Just check with your Local Bar or Restrant The can put you in contact with soimeone .You system is Fairly new (In the last 10 years Propley ) So enjoy it >> A great buy for $10 bucks

Hello,

After a little research, The fountain was made around 1985, and the unit does get cold.  I will need a carbonator, some syrup pumps, a CO2 tank and regulator, and syrup bags to get it working.  Total of about $200 or more.  Not sure if I am going to set it up or not......

What is a carbonator ? I assume this somehow mixes the C02 with the syrup/water ?
