Title: Wife is getting testy
Post by: bcharlton on October 19, 2011, 08:41:21 am
Well over the last 6 months I have enjoyed a buying frenzy of cool old stuff that runs on a dime.  One of my cars died recently and I need to replace it.  My wife told me to sell something but I think I would rather walk than part with some of my old stuff.

My Jacobs 56 is original and in mint condition.  Works on a dime and everything is there.  I may have to kill myself later but I may need to part with it.

I have seen some in the past go for $3500 in worse shape.  Is this still the going rate for it?

Hello, bcharlton

As I said In an older post Your Machine Is Sweet !!. I also found one around the same time you got yours ,But Yours Is In MUCH better shape then mine is (Untill Pat restores it in the Spring )  It's a shame that stuff happens an We do just what your thinking Of But again it's a Hobby & Then Theres the reall world . I would Say You Should have NO problem  Getting any were from $2500 -$3500 for it I have Been Watching E-bay for them since i got mine and i am Watching the One TKAS has mention since it was listed .There was 1 other one listed 2 -3 months ago in Close to your condition i think it went for $3100 ??
But These Machines Do Not Come up very often & Are realy hard to find .

I agree with Bonovox.  If she needs a new car, then she needs to sell some of her stuff (shoes, purses, clothes, etc).

Why should you be the one who has to suffer?

I think your Pepsi Light Up is a really nice machine and they don't come up for sale very often.  Keep it!

I agree.. keep the Pepsi as it's more rare.. sell your other more common machines as you can replace those much easier later on..

Your comments have been extremely helpful so I have completed my analysis and found that I need to get rid of the wife.  Any one know a good divorce lawyer?

Best bet is to call in the MM (Michigan Mafia) to off her; otherwise, she could end up with the toys! :Oo:

Nice one Eric! lol

If she doesnt know how much the machines are worth, tell her that the Pepsi machine is worth 14 thousand, put it on Craigslist, show her, and say "See!! Im trying to sell it, but the market is soft for these machines!"

Then pimp her out.... kidding  :happydrinkers:
