Can anyone give me any info on 1959 Seeburg 222's? Are they that much different than the earlier Seeburg year models from
a service point of view? First year for "stereo" jukebox.

The 22 was the first Stereo Jukebox. They still used  vacuum tube amps.
Parts are readily accessible,  as chrome cleaner.  It has a lot and i mean a lot of chrome.

The amps and selector units are very expensive to rebuild.

I own one.  What do you need?  The amp is a little more work to recap and it plays 200 selections but it is very similar to the 100 series except for the tormat select receiver.

Hey, Thanks for all the info guys. This is without a doubt the best place for getting help on these things. I'm going
to see it Friday. Is there any other thing I should look for when he fires it up? Also,to transport it is there anything inside
that should be secured. He has all the keys for the machine also. Thanks again.

take the records out. I remove the vacuum tubes. There are 4 bolts that will hold down themech during transport.  Remember, it's a lot of glass -  bring extra moving blankets

I went and looked at the Seeburg 222and ended up buying it. It works well, doesn't miss a step. Chrome is not the
greatest, but not bad by any means. Sides will have to be verneered , not a problem. It is filled with records, some of which do not
sound that good. He also gave us an about additional  100 records, and a 45 player to check them out on for quality before putting them in juke box.
He said amp was rebuilt and new needle a couple of years ago. I am having problems sizing pics. I'll try again tomorrow to get some on here.
The good thing is, the wife LOVES the machine also, always a plus. Thanks guys again for your input.

Heres a pic. Ok, when I pick the picture, it is rotated correctly, when I attach it,  it stays this way. Frustrating. By the way, that
decal you see across the front glass was made by previous owner. He had it on display in his hot dog stand. It describes the machine. I'll
probably remove it in near future.

Some records sound better than others by far, but as far as overall sound, I really don't know what these sounded like
originally. It kind of  sounds sometimes like a speaker is going. Kind of a muffled sound. I think I may have a local jukebox guy
come out and check it out. He goes to Chicagland Coin Op show.

The late 1950's seeburg jukeboxes are nice.
I love chrome... And they are full of it.
I have a few in my basement. The 222 sounds the best out of the 3 I have.

Make sure u have a good needle..
U can buy record sets from victory glass.

Shane.
