Title: 1953 Phone booth and Pay phone FS
Post by: Kilroy on June 30, 2014, 09:10:25 am
If anyone is interested, putting  my Western Electric telephone booth up for sale.   The deal includes a working WE 3 coin rotary dial payphone. The handset was replaced by PhoneCo with a F1 model, and cloth cord.  Have keys

The booth is a 1953 Western Electric, done in Golden Oak and several coats of poly. hinges, handles, vents are original. Hanging directory book cover  and a 1933 phone book. I think it's Rochester MN,  The lighted sign was sold, but includes the NOS Stout  Public telephone sign ( reissed in the 1980's)

Wired for modular phone, and including a new in box converter to allow outgoing calls to be made.  Incoming calls ring, Actually ring, not that sissy  bleeping

Asking $1100 or best offer . Not museum quality, but solid, works and displays very well

I've seen Jim's phone booth in person, it's in excellent shape and well worth the money!
