I've got an old westinghouse upright with a selection knob in the center of the machine.  can anyone tell me the age and value of this box?  it's in pretty good shape, faded paint but no major rust on the inside or outside?

Yeah..220,221 whatever it takes.
Remember, all it needs is a shot of Freon!
The Vendo V-83 is the '59 Edsel of the coke machine world. ;p

<font color='#000000'>Johnieg, on your picture of the MD-78 (the can vendor), what is the bumpout on the front of the machine?  Is that a can-opener of some sort?  Precedes the pull-tab era, maybe?
That is a very cool machine, is that in your collection?

it is an early pre-pull tab (steel can) opener, this on belonged to a buddy of mine,  you set  the can inside & pressed down on the cover & it pieced the top with a drinking "V" punch and a smaller vent opening "v", it's electrically sterlized by heating the points.
