On our bubble front machine at work, we have a Maka NB-10L-400 bill validator. It is rejecting just about every bill put into the machine. We are also having trouble with some coins being rejected. Is there any adjustments or cleaning procedures on these, or is it just replacement/service? The whole machine is dirty and dusty inside. I was going to start with just compressed air and clean the dust out of it.

I've seen some of the NB-11L-400's on ebay for about $100. Not sure what the difference is..

I've delt with them a little, mostly they need to be kept clean, you can get cleaning "cards" thet insert like a dollar-bill & it will help keep the sensors clean, but if it's in a dirty enviroment as you've described, them it's time to get a maintenance kit & refubish the unit, or it may be cheaper to just replace the unit as a whole, you can also google the manufactures name & see if they have an exchange/repair service (or service center) near you.

Open it up and try cleaning the rollers. That worked one time for me....
