The quest continues...

Anybody know if the V-56 RT came with a stack that did not have the oval hole at the top?

Attached is a picture where on the left is an oval version and on the right is a variation that is up on ebay.

Thanks for any insight!

I belive the oval hole was added to some racks to allow clearance for the back side of the vend area light on some 56's ( the "night-light" sized lamp that lite up the bottles),it lets the rear of the socket portrude into this area as not to crush the wires. it's the only thing I've seen the difference on the two.

Checking more pictures it appears the hole is on glass door machines and lacking on solid door. Makes sense and ties perfectly to JohnieG's comments.

Anybody have a electrical diagram to create a lighted 56? Info on production of solid door vs. glass would be great as well.
